To schedule an appointment:

Call the office during office hours (Mon-Thurs 9:00AM to 5:00PM or Friday 9:00 - 12:00): 707-538-4643.  Let us know if you are seeking homeopathic therapy, nutritional therapy or just a health care consult. Health care information is included in homeopathic consultations. (See the pages on Homeopathy, Clinical Nutrition and Preventative Medicine for details). Other services include Non-anesthetic dental cleaning and Cold laser therapy sessions.

For Homeopathic appointments:

We schedule 90 to 120 minutes for the initial appointment for chronic cases (shorter for acute cases - injuries).  Choose this type of appointment if you want to treat your animal homeopathically.   See the Homeopathy page for more information about this treatment option.

Please provide the following:

  1. Please ask your veterinarian to send/fax/e-mail a copy of all previous veterinary medical records, including exam details, diagnostic test results and the vaccine record. A complete medical history is very important to the success of our treatment.
  2. Fill out our Homeopathic Questionnaire.  Include the diet you are feeding and any supplements you are giving.
  3. Provide a list of current medications, heartworm preventative, flea control products and any topical products you are using
  4. Read and sign our Consent Form

Please fax the above information to: (707) 538-4649 (prior to your appointment)
Or email information to: info@holistic-animal-care.com

At the initial consult, we will review the history, explore the details of all symptoms, discuss pertinent health care issues, and begin to develop a treatment plan for your animal.  This plan will include supportive care such as diet, supplements and topical therapies. The homeopathic analysis (to find a remedy) is done after the consult and we usually have the remedy for you the next day.  A follow-up consult will be scheduled in a day or two (acute cases) or in 2 to 4 weeks (chronic cases). These appointments (which take 15 to 45 minutes) are essential for a successful outcome: I will evaluate the response to the remedy and make necessary adjustments in treatment.

For clinical nutrition appointments (Energy Resonance Testing):

We use herbs and wholefood supplements to treat disease. If this is the modality you want for your animal, schedule an AET Appointment (Acupoint Energy Testing), so that we can formulate a nutritional protocol.  The initial appointment can take 90 to 120 minutes.  We will briefly review the history and symptoms, do a physical exam and perform Energy Resonance Testing.  ERT is a non-invasive diagnostic modality that provides information about the underlying causes of the symptoms you are seeing.  We get results right away and can then formulate a treatment plan using concentrated nutritional supplements and herbs.  See the Clinical nutrition page for more information about this type of treatment.   Please note that we cannot detect cancer or foreign bodies or organ enlargement with this testing; imaging will be required.

Please provide the following:
1. Recent Lab Work (If indicated)
2. A Nutritional Questionnaire - links to questionnaire (PDF)
3. Read and sign the consent form
4. Bring food and water samples

Follow-up appointments are scheduled in 2 - 6 weeks (depending on the needs of the patient) and take 30 - 60 minutes.

Please provide the following information (bring it to your appointment or fax/ e-mail it to us):

1.  Any recent lab tests

2.  A completed Nutrition Questionnaire

3.  A signed Consent form

Follow-up appointments are usually done in 2 to 6 weeks and take 30 to 60 minutes.

For health care consultations:

Knowing how to care for our animals is the best form of preventative medicine.  We have been given a lot of misinformation about diet, vaccination protocols, parasite control and pet products.  Sadly, this has contributed to our current health care situation.   The ideal time to examine health care is when our animals are young, but we can begin at any time.  Though we cannot expect to cure a sick animal with just a natural diet, we can reduce the toxic burden and improve overall health.  And to the extent that we can stop doing the things that contribute to illness, we can slow disease progression.  If you have multiple animals, if you are interested in holistic health care or if you have questions about specific health care issues, schedule a consult (by phone or in person).  These consults can take 15 to 60 minutes.  We can explore any of the following issues:

  • Diet
  • Flea & tick control
  • Heartworm prevention options
  • Vaccination protocols (and alternatives)
  • Dental care
  • Environmental pollution: how to identify toxins, their health effects, solutions

NON-ANESTHETIC DENTAL CLEANING

Dental clinics are held once or twice a month.  The cost is $190.  Lower fees apply if your animal is getting dental cleanings every 1 to 5 months.

Cold Laser Therapy

Beginning in September 2022, we offer laser treatment sessions.  These are usually scheduled on Fridays but other times may be available.
